Take your dog to work day...

Production Manager, Byrni Reeds recounts a special day at work.

I work in a small manufacturing company. We make neoprene products and survival clothing and equipment. Some time ago, a casual enquiry led us to make our "Togs for Dogs" canine wetsuits. My elderly dog, Hector, found himself working at home as a model, while I developed the first garment, and our canine friends were measured to provide vital statistics for the range of sizes. I would have loved to have taken Hector in to work but would not have dared to - I think his bark and manner would have upset Rosie, a much-loved member of the workforce who has been with the company for several years, Sadly, Hector died last year but earlier this year, my family adopted Domino, another Dalmatian needing a new home.

"Take Your Dog To Work Day" seemed a good opportunity to introduce Domino to working life. She seemed to have a wonderful time and the "Guess Domino's Weight" competition was a good fundraiser.

Well here I am ready to start!
What needs doing next? - Answer the phone maybe!

Oops... almost forgot to sign in.

Just checking that the new bandage is comfortable.
I wonder If I can move in it?

Well I managed to jump up here with no problem.
Oops sorry, I shouldn't have got up here should I?

Time for some TLC from a new friend ......

... and a well deserved rest

Well raring to go...
.... lets see if production is up to scratch

but maybe I don't fancy a scratch.

how about a bit of modeling ...

... will I be able to stand, stretch and sit comfortably

Oh yes.. very nice thank you.

This feels great

Now can I go and meet Rosie?

Well that's it... I had a great day at work... I'm exhausted, lets go off home for dinner.
